Wrestling is one of the world’s oldest sports, with origins tracing back to ancient civilizations. As an Olympic discipline, it emphasizes strength, endurance, and technical skill in grappling, holds, and takedowns. Olympic Wrestling has two styles: Freestyle (for both men and women) and Greco-Roman (for men only).
Wrestling has been a core Olympic sport since the first modern Games in 1896. Women’s Freestyle Wrestling was added in 2004, giving female wrestlers the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
At Empower, Wrestling will provide young athletes with the tools to build unmatched strength, discipline, and competitive spirit. Training will emphasize both technical skill and personal resilience.
Wrestling is a heavily recruited sport at major U.S. universities, including Princeton, Cornell, Stanford, and Penn State, all of which have top-level wrestling programs. Empower athletes will be prepared to compete for scholarships, represent Pakistan internationally, and pursue Olympic pathways.
