Shooting is a precision-based Olympic sport that tests concentration, control, and accuracy. Athletes compete using rifles, pistols, or shotguns in events that demand steady aim, calm under pressure, and technical mastery. Beyond physical skill, shooting requires mental discipline, making it a unique blend of sport and focus.
Shooting has been part of the modern Olympic Games since 1896, appearing in nearly every edition. Women’s events were introduced in 1984, and today, men and women compete across a wide range of disciplines.
At Empower, shooting will be offered as a sport that develops focus, patience, and discipline. While not as physically demanding as some other sports, it builds exceptional mental resilience, breathing control, and fine motor skills. Girls will be trained to compete in Olympic-recognized events while also learning the values of responsibility and safety.
Shooting is recognized by the NCAA and collegiate clubs in the United States, offering opportunities for athletes to pursue higher education alongside competition. Top universities such as West Virginia University, Kentucky, and Ole Miss have strong shooting programs. Internationally, shooting provides a pathway to represent Pakistan in global competitions, including the Asian Games, World Championships, and the Olympics.
