Archery is the sport of precision, focus, and control, where athletes use a bow to shoot arrows at a target from a set distance. It is a discipline that combines mental concentration with physical strength, requiring steady aim, refined technique, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Archery was first introduced to the Olympic Games in 1900, but after several appearances and removals, it became a permanent Olympic sport in 1972 (Munich Games). Since then, men’s and women’s events have been contested equally, including both individual and team competitions.
At Empower, archery will help athletes develop discipline, patience, and focus, alongside the physical training required to excel in the sport. Girls will train under expert coaches to refine their shooting technique, breathing control, and concentration, preparing them to compete on both national and international stages.
Archery is an NCAA-recognized sport and is actively supported at universities in the U.S. and abroad. Prestigious programs at institutions such as Columbia, Texas A&M, and Stanford offer opportunities for scholarships and collegiate competition. With Empower’s training environment, athletes will be prepared not only to pursue higher education but also to represent Pakistan internationally and aim for Olympic competition.
