Field events test explosive strength, agility, and precision. They include jumps (long, triple, high, pole vault) and throws (shot put, discus, javelin, hammer). Unlike races on the track, these events demand a unique blend of power, technique, and mental focus
Field events have been contested since the first modern Olympics in 1896, and women began competing in field disciplines at the 1928 Amsterdam Games. Today, they remain a key part of the Olympic athletics program.
Even though field events vary widely, they share a focus on strength, explosive movement, and technique. At Empower, athletes will train across jumping and throwing disciplines with expert coaches, developing both sport-specific skills and transferable athletic abilities.
Colleges and universities actively recruit jumpers and throwers for their track & field teams. Elite programs such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, and Oregon offer scholarships for field athletes. Empower graduates will be positioned to earn these opportunities and to represent Pakistan in global competitions, including the Olympics.
