Squash is a fast-paced indoor racket sport played by two or four players in a four-walled court using a small rubber ball. Known for its speed, endurance, and agility, squash requires lightning-quick reflexes, tactical awareness, and exceptional fitness. It is often recognized as one of the most physically demanding sports in the world.
Although squash has long been a global sport with professional leagues and world championships, it was not previously part of the Olympic Games. That changed when the International Olympic Committee approved squash for inclusion in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. This marks a historic moment for the sport and opens the door for young athletes to compete at the highest level on the Olympic stage.
Even though squash is not yet a permanent Olympic sport, it remains one of the most celebrated sports in Pakistan’s history. Pakistan has produced some of the greatest players of squash, including legends who dominated the world stage for decades. At Empower, squash will be a signature indoor sport, honoring this national legacy while preparing future generations to excel internationally. Girls will receive world-class coaching to develop technical skills, fitness, and mental toughness, with training that emphasizes movement efficiency, shot selection, and match strategy.
Squash is highly recognized at elite universities worldwide, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom. Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia have some of the strongest squash programs globally. With its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028, Empower athletes will be uniquely positioned to compete for scholarships, represent Pakistan on the international stage, and pursue professional squash careers.
